Fishers 4 Fishes

After a number of Pearl Beach residents reported incidents of fishing hooks causing injuries to dogs, we decided we needed to take action. In partnership with OzFish, Australia's only fishing conservation charity, we secured funding to join their Tangle Bin program.

On Saturday May 16, we are launching this initiative and installing three bins at key locations in Pearl Beach. As well as bin installation, and education on how the program helps to reduce litter and promote conservation, we will be doing a beach walk to clean up any rubbish. Please feel free to bring along your furry friends for our dog-friendly walk & clean on the north end of the beach.

After our morning clean up, OzFish will be providing a free sausage sizzle. We then invite everyone to have a fish and get some tips & tricks from local expert fishers.
