Dunecare

Protection and preservation of our dune enivornments.

Dunecare

6 Pearl Parade, Pearl Beach NSW 2256, Australia

Location:

Pearl Beach Dunecare works in collaboration with the Central Coast Council to protect the dune environments of Pearl Beach. Preservation of dune vegetation is achieved by keeping areas well fenced, weeded, and systematically replanted. We also invest time in improving our knowledge of the dunes, collecting seeds, monitoring the effect of storms and keeping photographic records.

We meet at 9am on the second Saturday of each month (except December, January and February) for a two hour working bee. We begin each session at the Pearl Beach amenities block. Please bring a hat, gloves, water bottle & sunscreen.

Acknowledgment of Country

The Pearl Beach Progress Association acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land and waters on which our members live and work. We recognise the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities as well as acknowledging them for the indelible mark they have left on our cultural and creative practices. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with whom we work and share stories.
