The PB Gardeners group gathered in early 2024 at the instigation of Duncan Bridel. It brought a small group of PB residents together to share gardening ideas and resources. Plant exchange became an important focal point for the group of plant lovers as well as sharing ideas on solutions to that bare patch or pest infestation.

The group has expanded its activities to working bees on the PB foreshore and the garden beds around the Community Hall. It has organised plant sales to contribute to the PB Association fundraising for the Community Hall renovations.

Members of the group share a love of plants as well as a commitment to improving the PB environment. Consultation on these small-scale projects occurs with the Executive of the Association and the Arboretum Committee for consistency in selection of native plants and the best way to manage and maintain those garden beds in public spaces.

The group meets monthly and has regular working bees. Communication occurs via PB Gardeners Facebook and by email. If you are a garden lover and would like to be involved contact can be made through Facebook.
