Events & Fundraising Subcommittee

​​Purpose – To have a community we need to have a community of interests and a sense of identification with our fellow community members. This encompasses:

  • To support the social network & common interest groups within the Assoc. & local community.

  • To facilitate events which provide a source of revenue for the Association.

There always needs to be a balance between the need to foster the community and raise funds

Scope: A Calendar of Events will be planned each year with a mix of:

  • Progress Association Community Building Events (eg Australia Day, ANZAC Day)

  • Progress Association Fund Raising Events – organised specifically to raise funds for the       Association. Actual co-ordination of an event may not always be with Event Sub-committee.

  • Progress Association Social Events – organised purely to have fun. These events will vary each year and may/ may not incorporate raising funds for other charitable organisation.

  • Income generating events – community events that contribute a % of takings or agreed amount to the Progress Association, generally not organised directly by the Events sub-committee.

  • Common Interest Groups - the Events sub-committee is not responsible for the co-ordination of their activities. However, the Association will offer general support to their activities.
