Enthusiastic crowd enjoyed the recent West Coast 70’s Album Show concert

Presented by the Pearl Beach Progress Association and the Pearl Beach Arboretum on a

glorious Spring day attracting a large crowd of locals, friends and visitors who enjoyed a picnic atmosphere, singing and dancing along to great music in the beautiful natural surroundings of the Arboretum.


This show consisted of a 6 piece Album Show Band of experienced and accomplished

musicians and singers, who played a set list of bonafide hits from one of the most significant

periods in the development of contemporary pop music, the ‘California’ scene from the 70’s.

Album Show boss, Michael Carpenter on guitar, keyboards, vocals; star vocalist/guitarist Sophie Jones; Casey Atkins on lead guitar piano and vocals; Charlie Lee on bass and vocal; and Russell Crawford on drums, piano and vocals. This band have been playing together in various original and show bands for many many years, and bring a love for both this music and their craft to the table when playing what is arguably, one of the best set lists you would hope to see.


Showcasing the biggest hits of The Eagles, James Taylor, Fleetwood Mac, Linda Ronstadt, The Doobie Brothers and many many more. The band of of first rate musicians, took the

enthusiastic audience on interwoven paths with these artists enjoying a timeless catalogue of

material.
