Three years, numerous celebrations — thank you, Jeanne!

For the past three years, Jeanne Albrecht has been the person behind the scenes making sure the Pearl Beach Memorial Hall was ready for just about every occasion you could imagine.

Births, deaths, marriages — and every celebration in between. Weddings, parties, community gatherings and everything else that brought people through the doors of our much-loved hall.

Jeanne managed the entire booking process, starting with those initial enquiries through the website. She answered questions, arranged bookings, showed prospective hirers around the hall and pointed out all its features and possibilities. Then, when the big day arrived, she was often the one making sure people could get in and had everything they needed.

And Jeanne didn't simply hand over the keys and walk away. She followed up afterwards, checking that everything had gone smoothly and that the hall had been left in good condition for the next group.

It has been an enormous commitment — and one that Jeanne has undertaken with incredible dedication, patience and generosity.

Now, after three years of making sure everyone else could enjoy the hall, Jeanne is stepping back to enjoy a well-earned retirement, spend more time with her grandchildren and, importantly, actually attend some of the events at the hall without having to work!

We are incredibly grateful for everything Jeanne has done. The hall has been a busy place over the past three years, and so much of that has happened because Jeanne was quietly making sure everything worked behind the scenes.

Thank you, Jeanne, for your time, energy, patience and all the countless hours you have given to the Pearl Beach Memorial Hall.

We hope someone in our wonderful community will step forward to take on the hall bookings and allow the good work to continue.
